Special Community Sunday admission: $5/family; $3/individual
The 2,350 square foot Frances Hamilton White Art Reference Library consists of over 9,000 books, 400 videos, 10,000 slides and many art periodicals related to the Museum's collection and philosophy. Specific collection strengths include Japanese folk art and craft, Chinese ceramic arts, worldwide costumes, adornment and textile arts. Less extensive collection strengths include the arts and crafts of Mexico and India.
The Lucia Ionescu Kanchenian Book Collection and Archive is an important resource for the study of traditional Romanian crafts and costumes, and the Drs. Leslie and Alice Orgel Book Collection covers a variety of topics ranging from the tribal sculpture of Africa to Persian miniatures.
